The Grousemoor Wedding – Karl and Annie

The Venue and Ceremony

Yesterday’s wedding was in North Wales at the lovely The Grousemoor Country House in Wrexham. Karl and Annie wanted a really laid back wedding, which The Grousemoor is known for. Set in gorgeous valleys and forests, it is a perfect setting for a wedding. Karl and Annie had spent quite a bit of time finding the suppliers that were perfect for their chilled out wedding. Sophie led their ceremony perfectly. A celebrant led ceremony is always more personal and touching. I really enjoy all of the emotions you get from a celebrant led wedding. Sophie recommended me and after a zoom meeting in our blankets they knew that they wanted me to photograph their The Grousemoor Wedding because of my laid back style. Karl and Annie aren’t huge fans of having their photo taken so the way I work was perfect for them.

Getting ready

I arrived at The Grousemoor to the most chilled out room ever! A chilled out bride is my favourite kind of bride. Beauty on the Square Ruthin was doing a fantastic job of making everyone look stunning. Annie’s eyes make up went with the shade her dress was perfectly. Whilst Hannah Chloe on hair was giving everyone gorgeous curls. The dress was not what Annie’s close family expected her to choose so they were eager to see Karl’s reaction when he first saw her! She looked absolutely beautiful. Her stunning dress was from Beautiful Brides Liverpool.

A relaxed and fun day

The venue itself did not need anything doing to it to make it look beautiful. Karl and Annie love the natural look and homely feel that it has. Their wedding day was a joy to photograph. All of their guests were laughing all day which is exactly what they wanted. Their dog, Odin, also made an appearance! I LOVE dogs at weddings! He was so well behaved and they were both made up to give him cuddles and share some of their special day with him.
