The Bridge in Prestbury Wedding – Matt and Steph

The Ceremony

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of the lovely Matt and Steph. Steph got ready at The Last Drop Hotel with her bridesmaids. Fi the Make up artist worked her magic on everyone and they all looked stunning! They got married in St Johns Church in Bromley cross which is laid out with its benches in a square around the alter. This means that everyone can be in close proximity to the alter which is nice and different. The church had many unique features such as its layout, and etched window and stained glass windows.

After the service we had what I think was the longest confetti line I have ever seen! I LOVE confetti so I was in my element and everyone had fun throwing confetti all over Matt and Steph. We then took a few family and couple photos in the gardens before Matt and Steph headed off to their reception in their retro, blue campervan from Split the Difference Campervans.

The Reception

Matt and Steph’s reception was help at The Bridge in Prestbury. Which is in the picturesque Cheshire village of Prestbury and sits on the banks of the River Bollin. The gardens are right next to the river and a bridge that goes over it. Making for a gorgeous setting for photos! The building itself is a grade II listed building. It blends it’s old feel with a new, industrial feel as well and the blend is unique and fabulous!

The evening was nice and relaxed in the late afternoon with guests enjoying the speeches and meal. Their lovely friend Charlotte made the cake which looked incredible! Then they had the choice of chilling in the lovely gardens or the bar area with some gin from the gin bar! Later in the evening Agent Smith Band had everyone up on the dancefloor, it was a ball!
