The Venue at the Royal Liver Building Wedding – Emma and Simon

On Thursday I had the best day photographing Emma and Simon’s wedding that took place at The Venue at the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool. Emma and Simon finally got married on their third time lucky after a few postponements in 2020 but I think it was definitely worth the wait!

The Venue at The Royal Liver Building

The Venue at the Royal Liver Building is one of my favourite venues to work at in Liverpool. It is obviously in a stunning and easy place for photos. The Venue is a unique and contemporary venue with lots of natural light, the photos look great in both rooms due to how light it is! Then of course there is the balcony with amazing views of the waterfront and the river Mersey.

Getting Ready

Emma got ready at The Titanic Hotel, which is always a great place for brides to get ready! It was a really chill morning with her bridesmaids. With it being a 2.30 ceremony there was no rush to get ready or getting up at 5am! Emma’s bridesmaids had me in stitches all day, we were winding each other up and laughing most of the day! Her maid of honour, Hannah, was a great help when we did couple photos, even if the veil did fly away for a second haha!

The Ceremony and after

The ceremony was so lovely and personal. Beautiful decorated and nice and bright it was a dream to photograph. Simon looked great too and is one of the happiest people I have ever come across. He didn’t stop smiling all day and his dance moves in the evening were something else. I also witnessed him casually put a whole doughnut in his mouth – what a legend! He said he was a bit nervous about photos but he was fine and enjoyed it! I just want my couples to have a ball.

Suppliers

It was an absolute dream team of suppliers. So many that I know personally and love to work with so that made the day even better! We had Thornton events decorating the room and making everything look stunning. AE Designs was responsible for all of the lovely signage and menus. Elizabeth Anna Cake Design supplied a gorgeous cake. Lorraine the celebrant led the ceremony which was so cute and personal, I just love it when couples have a celebrant! The classy flowers were from Foam Wedding Flowers by Joanne. The singing piano man provided beautiful music throughout the day on an impressive white grand piano. Emma looked absolutely stunning and radiant thanks to Jodie Halliday and Lea Bridal both from B the Bride on hair and make up. And her gorgeous dress was from Natalie Ann Brides! Evening entertainment consisted of Picture blast with a fun photobooth mirror and Wedding Jam who had everyone up dancing all night. Huge shout out to Zara who is the wedding coordinator at The Venue at the Royal Liver Building! She is one of the nicest wedding coordinators around and I love working with her.

Here is a sneak peek from their day… congratulations to the amazing Emma and Simon!!
