Abbeywood Estate Wedding, Cheshire – Julia and Paul

Ahhh yesterday was SUCH a great day! Despite it raining for most of the day it was one of my favourite weddings to date and the rain did not stop Julia and Paul having an amazingly fun day. We even got outside twice in the beautiful gardens that surround Abbeywood Estate in between the downpours! Julia and Paul are 2 of the most lovely, chilled out and down to earth people that I have had the pleasure of coming across. They are both musicians and lots of their guests were too which I loved because I come from a musical background myself. I enjoyed helping the bridesmaids count in time and figure out what bar of the music they were coming down the aisle too haha!

Julia’s dress was hand made by Paul’s mum from scratch! How lovely is that? She put in over 400 hours of work and according to the speeches ‘blood, sweat and tears’ went into it. What an amazing thing to do and be able to have from your wedding day and it was absolutely beautiful. With help from Jessica Mae on make up and Gemma Louise on hair, Julia looked gorgeous and was finally ready to go and marry Paul. Her dad got emotional when her saw her because he was so proud, I love the photos that I got from this!

The Ceremony

They got married in St Bede’s Church in Widnes which was full of excited family and friends. There was a wind quintet playing music for the hymns with singers too. One of the bridesmaids husbands had even arranged a version of pachelbel’s canon for Julia and her bridesmaids to walk down the aisle too. The music was amazing, which was to be expected from 2 musicians!

The Reception

From the church Julia and Paul travelled to their Abbeywood Estate Wedding in the cutest vintage car from Classic Wedding Cars Cheshire. Abbeywood is the perfect wedding venue in Cheshire. With exclusive access to it the guests could chill out in multiple different areas. The gardens surrounding the venue were just stunning and the staff were amazing too. I can’t wait to photograph more weddings there and honestly, it’s on my list of venues for myself now haha!

Congratulations to Julia and Paul, here is a preview from their wedding day at Abbeywood Estate!
