Yesterday was such a gorgeous day for the wedding of Amy and Ellis! They had their ceremony in St Mary’s Church in West Derby followed by their reception at the Titanic Hotel.
Amy and her bridesmaids were so chilled out whilst they were getting ready. It was a really lovely, chilled out morning. Everyone’s hair and make up looked flawless thanks to Rhianne Woods on Hair and Gillian Bennet on make up. Opting for half up half down loose curls with natural looking, classy make up they all looked amazing. With stunning and natural, real flowers from Stems with Love, everything came together. The style went with the bridesmaids dresses perfectly! Amy actually came across me as she was the bridesmaid of one of my brides I photographed a few years ago, it was lovely to see them both again but this time Amy was the bride and Lydia the bridesmaid!
Amy’s dress was B-E-A-UTIFUL! It suited her so well and she looked out of this world in it, I am sure Ellis would agree! It was from Natalie Ann Brides and was ‘rum’ coloured! I love it when wedding dresses are a little different. The detail on this one was just gorgeous. Not forgetting to mention Ellis’ fabulous blue tweed suit which matched with their son’s! They looked so adorable in their matching suits. Mason is a little mini me of Ellis! It was important to Amy that there were lots of photos of Mason so we opted for a second photographer (the lovely Shauna) to take photos while Ellis got ready with Mason and also people arriving and waiting at the church.
The Church
St Mary’s church is set in the heart of West Derby village and is right next to Croxteth Park. It is stunning inside and has lovely gardens outside which are perfect for photos. It was forecast to rain for most of the afternoon but luckily when Amy and Ellis walked out of the church (married!) the rain had stopped and it was looking quite pleasant! So we quickly took some family photos followed by some couple photos before heading to the Titanic Hotel to enjoy the rest of the day.
Recption
The Titanic Hotel in Liverpool overlooks Stanley Dock and is the perfect setting for a wedding! There are plenty of great spots for photos which are really easy to access and I just love the industrial look of the venue and it’s surroundings. The Titanic Hotel is reflective of Liverpool’s heritage and I love a The Titanic Hotel wedding!
Congratulations to Amy and Ellis, here is a sneak peak from their day…
