What a beautiful day! My first full day wedding of 2021 and I have not stopped smiling and laughing all day! What an amazing one to kick off with. Becky and Mike FINALLY got married after multiple attempts over the last year. After quite a few changes to their original plans they decided to hold their wedding day at Love Lane Brewery on the first Saturday that weddings are allowed a sit down meal and 30 guests! It was such a lovely day. I had the best time and I’m pretty certain everybody else did too.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in Love Lane Brewery were the wonderful Lorraine was the celebrant for ceremony. I love it when a ceremony is hosted by a celebrant because it adds a much more personal touch which also makes for better photos as there is more emotion! Lorraine is amazing at her job and I love working with her! The fairy lights and rustic feel to Love Lane Brewery made for a great setting to get married.
After the Ceremony
After the ceremony we headed down to the docks in the Rolls Royce! We found out when we got there that the wind and Becky’s veil did not get on and before we suffocated a passing dog with it we headed back for some photos around the Baltic area. Usually, I don’t spend ages doing couple photos but when the wedding is smaller and there is more time then I am always up for a photo adventure! It is nice to enjoy some alone time just after you’ve got married!
Becky looked absolutely stunning! Her gorgeous dress was from Natalie Ann Brides and it’s not a style I’ve seen before – I loved it! Mike scrubbed up pretty well too!
Speeches and Reception
Once back at Love Lane Brewery we had some great speeches! There were people getting teary eyed, belly laughs and hiding with embarrassment so it’s safe to say that the speeches were a hit. Sadly, dancing isn’t allowed yet so Becky and Mike went to a lot of effort to create a bespoke quiz. Even with all the lockdown quizzes people have done it was a success! The prizes consisted of a tub of mayo, a fire hydrant and a basketball haha! Oh and their cake was a Costco cake that said ‘Yes, our wedding cake is from Costco’ on it which had me in stitches – best cake ever haha! We did sneak upstairs to where the ceremony was with the fairy lights to do an intimate first dance with just Becky and Mike which was just beautiful.
Thanks so much for having me be a part of your day, I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope that this is the first of many Love Lane Brewery wedding s! Here is a sneak peak…
