Branxholm Park Wedding – Adam and Leanne

This weekend I travelled up to Hawick in Scotland for the beautiful wedding of Adam and Leanne at Braxholm Park. This was my first full day wedding since March. It was so good to be back doing what I love.

Braxholm Park Wedding

They got married at the amazing Branxholm Park which is a completely private, holiday wedding venue. I still can’t get over how stunning everything was there. I was in awe! It is filled with romantic indoor and outoor rooms. The stunning setting will take your breath away. You get to stay at the house and grounds for 3 days and it is completely tailored to you! I have photographed many weddings in so many different, stunning venues but I am telling you now, this is definitely my favourite! The staff were so lovely and went above and beyond all day too.

Leanne and Adam

I met Leanne and Adam at a wedding I photographed in 2018, I got chatting to them about the amount of hair their baby had haha! We did a family shoot later that year with the kids in Formby woods. In the speeches at the wedding I got a shoutout, I was made up! They said that when they started planning the wedding they didn’t even look at any other photographers because they knew they wanted me to photograph it. Que me trying not to get emotional whilst photographing the speeches after that, how nice!!

After what has been a weird and stressful year for everyone we weren’t even sure if the wedding could go ahead but thankfully it did. It was a rainy and windy day but thankfully it brightened up in the afternoon. This meat that they could get married outside and their guests didn’t have to wear masks. Where they had the ceremony was the most gorgeous area filled with fairy lights and flowers. There were also goats roaming around all day, as if I wasn’t already having the best time ever haha!

‘Mummy you look like a princess…’

Leanne looked absolutely beautiful, when her children came to see her in her dress with her dad her son, who is 3, said ‘Mummy you look like a princess.’ How cute is that? Him and Adam had matching blazers and suits, they all looked amazing.

It was such a chilled out day. Access to the whole house and grounds meant that the guests could do as they pleased. Braxholm Park is a stunning place for a wedding. The Autumn colours in the trees surrounding the venue made it even more picturesque.

Congratulations to Leanne and Adam and thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a fantastic day at Braxholm Park. I already can’t wait to go back there, I wish it was closer to me!
